The Baum Iron Company Building, located in the Old Market district in Omaha, was built in 1880.  In 1905, the building was purchased by Baum, the largest wholesaler of Iron in Midwest.  The cast iron storefront, in the Italianate style, was first made in St. Louis.  The Baum later became Baum Hydaulics Corporation, a national company, in 2000.
