The Waterville Opera House, located near the Waterville Depot Museum and Weaver Hotel, was built in 1903 for $8,000. The structure, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, has been used for plays, weddings, graduation ceremonies, and as the Waterville Public Library. It is currently the home of Waterville Summer Theatre, presenting productions offered by the Waterville Community Theater and Waterville Children’s Theater.
