It has been an abnormally bland trip so far.
I woke up late thanks to some anonymous nightmares accompanied with fake Philip Glass’s music. The first sip of my morning espresso was mysteriously unexpressive. I showered with soapy water, recipes of Zucchini bread, and Joe Henderson’s scrumptious Blue Bossa from Page One album all jamming in my head. The mad weather hanged over from last night, greeting travelers with furiously windy expression and chilly cheek kisses. When I finally parking myself into the deserted downtown Syracuse, I was attacked with the compulsion to drive right back to my apartment and dig into layers of warm blankets to rethink my life.
Walking around the deserted downtown Syracuse was incongruously therapeutic. I whistled melodies from my Philip Glass-themed nightmares, enjoying this still-snoozing city in the pristine morning light with my newly-composed minimalist attitude.
