The Havelock Avenue Landmark District, located between 60th and 63rd Street on Havelock Avenue in Lincoln, was the downtown main street area of Havelock in the early part of the twentieth century. Havelock, a formerly independent town founded in 1890, was merged into Lincoln in 1930.

The Joyo Theatre, built in 1928 in Art Deco style, was renovated in 1998 by Jim Salber, Kendra Oliver, Dave Oliver, Ron Sanders, and the owner Dwight Carter. The facility is currently used to host film screenings, live bands, parties, and live screenings of Nebraska Cornhusker football games.
