Café Brauer, also known as the South Pond Refectory, was completed in 1908 with architectural design by Dwight H. Perkins in the style of Prairie School, replacing the South Pond Refectory designed by William Le Baron Jenney. It was used by restaurateur Brauer family of Chicago until 1940s. The structure, located on Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, was added onto the National Register of Historical Places in 1986 and was renovated by the Lincoln Park Zoo Society the following year to serve as a rental space for various social events.
