The Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test & Power Museum helloed me with an unadorned “Tractor Museum” sign and its unfussy and non-nonsense vibe. Walking through museum’s massive collection of old tractors, I was suddenly tingled with a lovely feeling. I was honored with a once-in-a-life-time invitation to visit a distinguished club house of retired happy dinosaurs, I felt.
The Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test & Power Museum building was the site of the first official Nebraska tractor test dated March 31, 1920. It was later recognized by the American Society of Agricultural Engineers as a Historic Landmark of Agricultural Engineering in 1980.
