Mari Kimura & Guitarbot

Guitarbot was invented by Eric Singer, founder of LEMUR, the League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots. Mari Kimura’s take, Guitarbotana, utilized an audio interface and MAX/MSP to interact with Guitarbot via pitches, loudness, and timing of the violin, creating a fascinating blend of music and robotic technology.

About Me

Jen-Kuang Chang, a native of Taiwan, is working on the acoustic, electro-acoustic, and audiovisual composition as expressive agents.

Dr. Chang's chamber ensemble work, "Chakra", was named the Second Prize winner of the JIMS "Stadtpfeifer" International Composition Contest for Improvised Chamber Music in Salzburg and was premiered by the Vienna-based Janus Ensemble under the direction of Christoph Cech. The score of "Chakra" has been selected for inclusion in the SCI Journal of Music Scores, published by EAM, the European American Music Distributors Corporation.
