Organicism VI | 2008 | Jen-Kuang Chang

The productivity was somewhat diminished due to the unbearable heat waves when I was in Connecticut for a retreat program this summer. It was really hot there. The clock started to seem to move in the fashion of metric-modulation performed by kangaroo tube band and I basically did nothing while accomplishing the feat of sweating like a broken fountain.

I had little choice but to spent most of sun-dried daytime playing hide-and-seek with adorable rabbits resided right outside of the studio. I allured cute rabbits by banging the piano in the studio with horrendous improvisations that somehow always ended in the Picardy third and then jumped out of the room to take few quick cheek-to-cheek close-up photographs of these fluffy-jumping-things.

Similar to most of my projects completed in that retreat, Organicism photo series was an accidental sidekick of my celebrated rabbit hunt. All it took was few unsuccessful attempts to capture the rabbits' green-carpet glamor and the unshakable desire to stay in the cozy shade, I was able to feed my cheap camera with few more peculiar shots.
